Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Kayili Artists, Gibson Desert.

The certificate states in part: 'Ngipi has painted a series of rockholes and water sites associated with the journeys and events of the Ngintaka (perentie) Tjukurpa. Yunpalarra (Lake Blair) is a large claypan west of Patjarr created with a swish of the giant lizards tail… this is Ngipi's fathers country. Mirun, another lake, and Yirrin, a site with three rockholes, are also depicted.'
