Catalogue text

This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Warlayirti Artists which states: ‘Artist’s Country. A series of waterholes is seen lying in lower ground. Surrounding are some rocky ridges that have ‘wanari’ or gum-trees on them. The ridges are believed to be the paths of Tingarri beings in the Dream-time. This is where the artist lived when she was younger and she says that there were many foods to be found amongst the sandhills.’
