Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists Pty Ltd, Alice Springs which reads in part: 'In mythological times two kuniya (pythons), a male and a female, came from the east to Karrilwarra, a rockhole and soakage water site, north-west of the Kiwirrkura Community. They later travelled south-west to Wiluna. The snake's tracks are represented by the lines in the painting. This mythology forms part of the Tingari Cycle.'
