Catalogue text
This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists, Alice Springs, which reads: 'This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole and soakage site of Marrapinti, west of the Kiwirrkura community. A group of men and women visited this area to gather the mulyati tree Arcacia jensenii which because of its long slender trunk is used to make spears and digging sticks. The lines in the work represent both these trees and the sandhills in the area.'
