Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Warlayirti Artists, Balgo Hills that reads: ‘Boxer has painted some of his traditional country, found along the middle stretches of Purkitji or Sturt Creek. The many channels of Purkitji and soil types are depicted throughout the painting. The strong white sections represent what is known as ‘milkwater’. This is caused when the banks of Purkitji are washed into the river during the wet season. Boxer is the traditional owner of this country.’
