DEUTSCHER AND HACKETT CONFIRMED AS 2017 FINE ART AUCTION MARKET LEADERS

Completing a record year of seasonal and single owner fine art auctions, Deutscher and Hackett has taken market leadership with auction sales of $37,043,000. This represents only the fourth occasion when an Australian art auction house has reported sales in excess of $37,000,000.

The highlight of the year was the extraordinary auction of  Important Works of Art from the Estate of the late James O. Fairfax AC held in Sydney in August. This prestigious $10m plus auction also launched our elegant new Sydney premises in Paddington, formerly the home of the philanthropic Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation.

Nearing the end of our 11th year we take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of those clients and collectors who have supported our Australian-owned business over the past decade.
