Catalogue text
This painting is accompanied by a copy of the original certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists, Alice Springs, which reads: 'This painting depicts designs associated with the site of Yakajirri, south of the Kiwirrkura community. A group of Tingari Men and Women camped at this site to gather the edible berries known as Yakajirri or Kampurarrpa from the small shrub Solanum centrale. These berries were ground into paste and formed into balls which can be stored for some time.'
